Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Hashira Training is a highly anticipated Japanese animated film that is set to hit theaters in 2024. Directed by Haruo Sotozaki and produced by Ufotable, the film is based on the popular manga series by Koyoharu Gotouge. This film combines the "Swordsmith Village" and "Hashira Training" arcs from the original manga, serving as a direct sequel to the anime's third season and previous film adaptations.
The film follows the adventures of Tanjiro Kamado and his companions as they tackle formidable foes. The story begins with Muichiro Tokito, the Mist Hashira, awakening a powerful mark that boosts his abilities after a fierce battle. Meanwhile, Tanjiro and Genya Shinazugawa join forces with Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Hashira, to fight against the Upper Four demon, Hantengu.
The film incorporates the final episode of the third season and the first episode of the fourth season, making it a compilation that highlights key events in the storyline. To the Hashira Training was released in Japan on February 2, 2024, and will premiere in the United States on February 23, 2024.
