After overcoming various challenges, Mavis and Johnny manage to locate the crystal in the Cave of the Reflexión, but the path to reversion is not straightforward. Ultimately, heartfelt revelations help bring the family back together, leading to a joyful resolution where Mavis and Johnny are allowed to redesign the hotel after it is accidentally destroyed.
This film boasts a budget of $75 million but only grossed about $18.5 million at the box office, largely due to its release strategy on streaming platforms amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The voice cast also includes Brian Hull as Dracula, replacing Adam Sandler, and Brad Abrell as Frankenstein, stepping in for Kevin James. The music for the film was composed by Mark Mothersbaugh, who returned from the previous installments.
