Their adventure takes them through police stations and hardware stores as they prepare to confront a horde of zombies. They eventually realize that their only hope lies in a party they were invited to, which turns out to be a trap. With makeshift weapons and a bomb built by Augie, they fight back against the zombies, culminating in a dramatic showdown where they narrowly escape destruction.
The film, despite its unique premise, received mixed reviews from critics. Many described it as lacking genuine humor and creativity, with one critic calling it "disposable junk." It holds a 44% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, indicating that audiences were also divided in their opinions.
Although the film had a production budget of $24 million, it grossed only $16.1 million worldwide, making it a modest box office success. The film was released for digital download on 8 December 2015, and on DVD and Blu-ray on 5 January 2016.
