Sing 2, released on 22 December 2021, is an animated musical comedy film created by Illumination and Universal Pictures. The film is a sequel to the first installment, Sing, which premiered in 2016. The film received an approval rating of 72% on Rotten Tomatoes and an average audience score of "A+" from CinemaScore. It opened to an impressive box office, earning $162.8 million in the U.S. and Canada and $245.6 million globally. It became the first animated film during the COVID-19 pandemic to surpass $100 million in the U.S. and is recognized as one of the most successful animated features post-pandemic.
