Trolls Band Together

Trolls Band Together is a vibrant animated musical comedy that made its debut in theaters, continuing the beloved Trolls franchise. Released in Denmark on 12 October 2023 and in the United States on 17 November 2023, this film has already made quite an impact at the box office, grossing over $209 million worldwide.

Directed by Walt Dohrn and co-directed by Tim Heitz, the film features a screenplay by Elizabeth Tippet. It's based on the classic Good Luck Trolls dolls created by Thomas Dam. The film incorporates a mix of CGI and some 2D animation that pays homage to classic films like Yellow Submarine and Fantasia. The score, composed by Theodore Shapiro, includes the newly released song "Better Place" performed by NSYNC, marking the group's return to music after 22 years.

Critics have responded positively, with the film receiving a rating of 63% on Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences have enjoyed the film as well, giving it an average grade of "A" on CinemaScore. Reviewers have noted the humor and lively animation as highlights, although some indicate signs of franchise fatigue.
