Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In, also known as _九龍城寨之圍城_, is an action-packed martial arts film set in the vibrant backdrop of 1980s Hong Kong. Directed by Soi Cheang, the film features a stellar cast including Louis Koo, Sammo Hung, and Richie Jen.

The story follows Chan Lok-kwan (played by Raymond Lam), a troubled youth who finds himself in the chaotic Kowloon Walled City. A refugee from mainland China, Lok-kwan struggles to survive in an underworld filled with violent fighting rings. His quest for a better life takes a dark turn when he is betrayed by Mr. Big, portrayed by Sammo Hung, a ruthless crime lord. After stealing drugs from Mr. Big, Lok-kwan seeks refuge in the Walled City, where he meets Cyclone, the local gang leader, played by Louis Koo.

In this gritty setting, Lok-kwan learns about the delicate balance of power and community within the Walled City. He forms alliances with Cyclone and his gang, all while facing off against Mr. Big and his henchmen in thrilling battle sequences. Complicating matters, it is revealed that Lok-kwan's father is Jim, the infamous 'King of Killers', who has a history of violence against other criminal factions.

The film, which has received positive reviews for its action choreography and storytelling, officially began production in November 2021 and wrapped up in April 2022. It premiered in Hong Kong and China on 01 May 2024 and was part of the Midnight Screening section at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.

With a budget of about HK$300 million, _Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In_ has become a box office sensation, grossing approximately US$111.5 million worldwide. It was also recognized as the second-highest-grossing local film in Hong Kong history.

Critically acclaimed, the film holds a 92% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with reviewers praising its vibrant homage to 1980s Hong Kong cinema. The movie has been recognized as Hong Kong's official entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 97th Academy Awards, although it did not receive a nomination.

As the film continues to make waves on international film circuits, it also secured screenings at notable events like the New York Asian Film Festival and the Fantasia International Film Festival.
