Aaron Pierre

Aaron Pierre, born Aaron Stone Pierre on 07 June 1994, is a talented English actor hailing from West Croydon, Greater London. He has made a name for himself in both television and film since embarking on his acting career in 2016. Pierre trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), where he honed his craft before stepping into the spotlight.

Pierre's breakthrough role came when he portrayed Dev-Em in the science fiction series Krypton from 2018 to 2019. His performance captured audience attention and led to further notable roles. He appeared in the period drama miniseries The Underground Railroad in 2021, where he played Caesar. Additionally, he starred in the thrilling films Old and Rebel Ridge, both released in 2021 and 2024, respectively.

In 2024, Pierre took on a significant role as Malcolm X in the acclaimed miniseries Genius. He also lent his voice to the character Mufasa in the animated film Mufasa: The Lion King, showcasing his versatility as an actor.

American director Barry Jenkins recognized Pierre's talent in Othello and invited him to audition for the series The Underground Railroad. This opportunity led to a pivotal role in his career. In 2021, Pierre also appeared in M. Night Shyamalan's film Old, showcasing his ability to thrive in the thriller genre.

Following his successful projects, Pierre was cast as a young Mufasa in a new Lion King film in August 2021. His journey continued with his participation in the film Foe and the Netflix movie Rebel Ridge, where he took on the role of Terry Richmond.
