Hee-jeong

Moon Jeong-hee was born on January 12, 1976, in South Korea. She is a talented actress known for her impactful performances in both film and television.

Moon graduated from the Korea National University of Arts, where she earned a degree in Theatre Studies. Her acting journey began in 1998 with a role in the musical Blood Brothers.

Over the years, Moon has crafted a diverse portfolio, oscillating between leading and supporting roles. Her breakout performance came in the 2012 film Deranged, where she received the Best Supporting Actress award at the 33rd Blue Dragon Film Awards. She continued to impress audiences with her roles in Hide and Seek (2013), Cart (2014), and the television drama Mama (2014).

In addition to acting, Moon is skilled in salsa dancing; she began learning it in middle school and has even taught it during breaks from her acting career. She also practices jazz dancing and is familiar with the traditional Korean art form called pansori. Fluent in Korean, English, and French, Moon's diverse skills have enriched her performances.

In 2010, Moon was appointed as the goodwill ambassador for Safe Kids Korea, an organization focused on children's rights. She also hosted the closing ceremony of the Jeonju International Film Festival in 2012. In 2021, she served as a jury member for the Bucheon Choice Features section at the 25th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival.

Moon's acting career has also been recognized with numerous awards and nominations. She has won the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Asia Latin Culture Festival in 2009 and has also received accolades for her contributions to various television dramas including Empress Cheonchu (2009) and Vagabond (2019).
