James Marsden

James Paul Marsden, born on 18 September 1973, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, is a well-known American actor. He grew up in a family that valued education and creativity. Marsden's parents were Kathleen, a nutritionist, and James Luther Marsden, a food safety advisor. They divorced when he was nine years old. He has two younger sisters and two brothers.

For his education, Marsden attended Hefner Middle School and Putnam City North High School in Oklahoma City. He then went to Oklahoma State University to study broadcast journalism, during which he joined the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. However, after a year and a half, he decided to pursue acting in Los Angeles.

He began his career in 1993 with guest roles on popular television shows such as Saved by the Bell: The New Class and Touched by an Angel. His breakthrough came in the early 2000s when he was cast as Cyclops in the X-Men film series, which ran from 2000 to 2014. This role significantly raised his profile in Hollywood.

Aside from X-Men, Marsden has appeared in a variety of films including The Notebook (2004), where he played Lon Hammond, and Superman Returns (2006) as Richard White. His performances in the musical Hairspray (2007) as Corny Collins and in Enchanted (2007) as Prince Edward showcased his singing abilities and comedic talents.

On the personal front, Marsden was married to Mary Elizabeth "Lisa" Linde from 22 July 2000 until their divorce in 2011. They have two children together. He also has a son, born in 2012, with model Rose Costa.
