Julia Benson, born Julia Anderson on 29 June 1979, is a talented Canadian actress known for her role as Vanessa James in the popular science fiction series Stargate Universe. She hails from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Julia's journey into the performing arts began early, as she trained in various dance styles, including ballet, tap, and jazz from the age of six. Her passion for the arts led her to pursue higher education, and she graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2001, earning a degree in theatre and psychology. Further honing her acting skills, she trained at David Mamet's Atlantic Theater Company in New York City.
