Michelle Yeoh, born Yeoh Choo Kheng on 6 August 1962 in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia, is a renowned Malaysian actress celebrated for her exceptional talent and diverse roles in film. Known initially as Michelle Khan, she gained fame in the 1980s and 1990s through her performances in Hong Kong action and martial arts films, where she famously performed her own stunts.

Yeoh began her journey in the entertainment industry after winning the Miss Malaysia World contest in 1983. She represented Malaysia at the Miss World pageant, finishing in the top eighteen. Her career took off when she starred in films such as Yes, Madam (1985) and Police Story 3: Super Cop (1992), becoming a household name in martial arts cinema.
