Nicholas Hoult

Nicholas Caradoc Hoult, born on 7 December 1989, is a talented English actor known for his versatile performances in both blockbuster and independent films. Hoult's career began at a young age, and he has since garnered significant acclaim, including nominations for prestigious awards such as the British Academy Film Award, two Golden Globe Awards, and a Primetime Emmy Award.

Born in Wokingham, Berkshire, Hoult is the son of Glenis, a piano teacher, and Roger, a commercial pilot. He has three siblings, including an older brother who studies biology and two sisters who are actresses. Growing up, Hoult was inspired by his siblings' interest in acting, which sparked his own passion. He spent much of his childhood in Sindlesham.

At just six years old, Hoult made his film debut in the 1996 drama Intimate Relations. His major breakthrough came in 2002 with his role in the acclaimed film About a Boy. This was followed by his portrayal of Tony Stonem in the hit teen series Skins (2007-2008), which brought him further recognition.

As he transitioned into adult roles, Hoult starred in the 2009 drama A Single Man and the fantasy film Clash of the Titans (2010). He portrayed the character Hank McCoy, also known as Beast, in the X-Men film series, starting with X-Men: First Class (2011) and reprising the role in several sequels.

In addition to his work in superhero films, Hoult has taken on diverse roles. He played a zombie in the romantic comedy Warm Bodies (2013), and the titular character in Jack the Giant Slayer (2013). He also appeared in Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), where his performance was praised for its intensity and depth.

Hoult has continued to evolve as an actor, starring in The Favourite (2018) and the Hulu series The Great (2020-2023), where he portrayed Peter III of Russia. His work in The Great earned him multiple nominations, solidifying his status as a leading actor in contemporary television.

Outside of acting, Hoult is also known for his involvement in charity work. He supports organizations such as the Teenage Cancer Trust and Christian Aid. He has participated in various initiatives to raise awareness and funds for these causes.

Currently, Nicholas Hoult divides his time between London and Los Angeles. He has been in a relationship with model Bryana Holly since 2017, and the couple has two children together.
