Ralph Fiennes

Ralph Nathaniel Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes, born on 22 December 1962, is a prominent British actor, producer, and director. Known for his versatile acting skills and compelling performances, he has received numerous prestigious awards, including a BAFTA Award and a Tony Award. He has also been nominated for three Academy Awards, an Emmy Award, and seven Golden Globes.

Fiennes was born in Ipswich, Suffolk, England, and grew up in a family with artistic influences. He is the oldest of six siblings, including actor Joseph Fiennes and director Martha Fiennes. His father, Mark Fiennes, was a farmer and photographer, while his mother, Jennifer Lash, was a writer. The family relocated to Ireland in 1973, where Fiennes attended various schools, including Newtown School and Bishop Wordsworth's School in Salisbury.

Fiennes pursued his passion for acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), graduating in 1985. He began his professional career in theater, making a name for himself with standout performances at the Royal National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Fiennes made his film debut in 1992, portraying Heathcliff in the adaptation of Emily Brontë's classic, Wuthering Heights. His breakthrough came in 1993 with his chilling role as Amon Göth, a Nazi war criminal, in Schindler's List. This performance earned him critical acclaim and several award nominations.

He is also well-known for portraying the dark wizard Voldemort in the Harry Potter film series from 2005 to 2011.
