Sang Heon Lee is a talented South Korean actor, born on 21 May 1996 in Seoul, South Korea. He is gaining recognition for his roles in popular television series and films, specifically in the Netflix show XO, Kitty (2023–present) and the Viu miniseries Secret Ingredient (2024).
Lee grew up with an older sister, Gia Kim, who is also an actress and co-star in XO, Kitty. His childhood was spent primarily in Hong Kong, where his father worked in construction. During this time, both siblings attended an international school. Lee's interest in acting blossomed while he took drama classes in school, leading him to pursue a degree in Drama from the University of Northampton in England. After completing his studies in 2016, he returned to South Korea to serve a mandatory two-year military duty.
Before achieving fame, Lee worked as a model and appeared in various roles as a background actor and reenactment actor in documentaries. His breakthrough came when his sister encouraged him to audition for XO, Kitty, which became his first significant acting opportunity. Lee made his film debut in the biographical movie Gran Turismo, released on 11 August 2023. This film chronicles the life of professional race car driver Jann Mardenborough.
In 2024, he took on a leading role in Secret Ingredient, a romantic series available on Viu. As he continues to build his career, Lee has become a notable figure in the entertainment industry.
Apart from acting, Lee is passionate about rock climbing and enjoys cooking. He has taught himself culinary skills by following Gordon Ramsay's YouTube videos during his time at university in England.
