Jennifer Lynn Connelly was born on December 12, 1970, in Cairo, New York. She is a renowned American actress known for her impressive career in film and modeling. Connelly started out as a child model before making her acting debut in the crime film Once Upon a Time in America in 1984.
After initially focusing on modeling, she transitioned into acting, appearing in various genres such as horror with Phenomena (1985), musical fantasy in Labyrinth (1986), romantic comedy with Career Opportunities (1991), and the superhero film The Rocketeer (1991). Her breakthrough came in the science fiction film Dark City (1998) and as a drug addict in Requiem for a Dream (2000), which received critical acclaim.
