Rebecca Louisa Ferguson Sundström, born on 19 October 1983, is a talented actress from Sweden, known for her impressive performances in both Swedish and international productions. She was born in Stockholm and spent her childhood in the Vasastan district. Her mother, Rosemary Ferguson, is English and moved to Sweden at the age of 25, while her father, Olov Sundström, is a Swedish businessman. She adopted her mother's surname, Ferguson, as her stage name.

Ferguson attended an English-medium school in Sweden, becoming bilingual in Swedish and English. She graduated from Adolf Fredrik's Music School in 1999.
